When we’re hustling and trying to stay on top of everything while managing our lives, we (and I mean WE) can neglect proper nutrition.
The irony is that when we get in the groove and forget to eat or rely to heavily on convenience foods we’re actually denying our brain the nutrition it needs to work efficiently. It might feel like it takes less time to eat junk food at the office or hit the drive through but it actually makes it harder for our brains to process information effectively and can end up costing us extra time and energy.
Take a little time to plan ahead and have some snacks on hand for mid-morning and mid-afternoon so you can be successful in your work goals and so you don’t crash in the evening. If you need help with remembering to take time out to eat and drink on a busy day set a re-occurring alarm on your phone to remind you to fuel your body and brain!
